Howdy
I have a Pro Engineering class that I am taking and have picked to make an AR-15 in it. However as I discovered with my last project using a real rifle to base my measurements on. I would like to know if any one has any drawings of any sort with measurements. I have to create all the parts, assemble them and then for extra credit animate it. I have been googling most of the day and thought maybe some one either has the files or knows where I could get them from. I don't mind if they were reversed engineered. I just do not have the money nor tools to get proper measurements.

Check out 3D Content Central.

Its actually a Solidworks (much better than Pro/E by the way), but most files can be downloaded as *.prt.

You can download certain parts or the whole thing. You'll have to do the searching.

EDIT: Ooops you said drawings, not CAD files. Well I'll leave the link as reference. Don't go cheating on your school work now....

I haven't checked the file myself, but go here:

Bottom of the page.

Hmmm, homemade billet lower/upper combo anyone?

Thanks I'll have to check them out.
Not really wanting to cheat, just want dimensions. Even if it comes from a .prt file.
