Who makes lower angled pistol grips.
By lower angle, I mean more straight up and down.

Thanks

We have the MOE K grip which has a more vertical angle like the ones above but with a very slim form factor for PDW use.

MOE K

Thanks for the suggestions.

I interested in the the BCM and Troy.
I currently have the MIAD on my AR, but I have the medium back strap, because I found the MOE to be too slim for me.
I imagine The MOE K might be too slim for me.

I installed a Stark yesterday. I love it. No more annoying irritation to my middle finger by the gap in the trigger guard. And the grip really feels good.

BCM mod 1 is my favorite. It's perfect for me. The angle takes all the strain off the wrist. I tried the Mod 0 but it's to skinny causing me to choke up on the trigger with my trigger finger.

I also like the MOE-K grip even though it's slightly smaller and shorter. I chalk it up to MAGPUL ergonomic voodoo. It's not as comfortable to shoot as the BCM grip but it fills the niche it was designed for very well.

I know some folks that use the Stark grip and love it. I tried it and liked the feel but it'd be like being seen in public dating an ugly fat girl that gives great head.

BCM Mod 1
I had to wrap it in a few laters of bicycle inner tube to widen it a bit. Angle is definitely better than my MIAD.

Can anyone compare the Troy to the BCM mod 1?

I think it's now between those two.

How close is the Troy or BCM to the MIAD in thickness?

Yeah....When I first installed the grip I ended up with part of my hand not contacting the right side of the grip and my trigger finger too far into the trigger guard. I cut the inner tube so that it went up higher than the bottom of the guard so it would feel consistent. None of my hand touches the cut edges of the inner tube. It's tacky too so its a good grip, even when sweaty.

ETA: this pic might show the cut of it better near the top.

It's the grip of shame because if'n ya bust off one of the trigger guard ears during build up, it's one of the few grips with an intigrated trigger guard.

so if you have one on your rifle for any reason people will assume the worst and believe you frogged up....but if you can take the social pressure

I'll just throw this out there too:

There's also a rubber revolver-style grip out there, which I think features a reduced angle.

Not for me, but some like them.

Does anyone know if the BCM grip will hold two AA batteries in the compartment?

It would probably hold 5 or 6 AA's. The whole grip cavity is open. Just wrap the batteries in some plastic to keep them from shifting around.

I just got 3 BCM Mod 1's. I think they are too thin. The angle feels better, but when I grip it quickly my trigger finger instinctively goes in to the first knuckle. I really don't feel that much of a difference with the angle during actual shooting, so if you are thinking of dropping the cash to upgrade I'd say skip it. But if starting from scratch, the BCM is a good choice.

Also, for those that care, BCM's FDE color is nowhere near a match for Magpul FDE. It is a much lighter color on the 3 BCM's I bought. Mine are for guns Im going to paint, so it doesn't matter anyway.
